The signing of the Heritage and Reconciliation Pledge and the Repatriation Call to Action Pledge symbolizes the Port Moody Heritage Society’s commitment to ongoing positive and concrete steps toward reconciliation and cultural equity. We will continue to seek new opportunities for training, education, communication and self-evaluation on our practices of decolonization. Part of decolonization will involve a full commitment to repatriation initiatives. We recognize our part in a collective effort to continually learn, reflect, respect, and share the diversity of cultures and experiences, both positive and negative, that form our collective heritage.
