This November 8th, is National Aboriginal Veterans Day, a day of remembrance and commemoration of the contributions and sacrifices of Indigenous Veterans in the First and Second World Wars, as well as the Korean war.

November 11th is Remembrance Day. Every year, at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, we gather and observe a moment of silence to mark the sacrifice of the many who have fallen in the service of their country, and to acknowledge the courage of those who still serve.

The Museum is always closed on Remembrance Day out of Respect. Since we cannot hold our Annual Candle Light Vigil on November 10th due to the Covid-19 Pandemic; we will be presenting a Virtual Event which Commemorates all those who have served. Join us virtually at www.portmoodymuseum.org on November 10th at 4pm.
