Orange Shirt Day

Today is an important day. Sept 30, is a day that we remember all of the 150,000 Indigenous Children who were forced to attend residential schools in Canada. It’s a day where everyone should wear an orange shirt showing that we won’t forget the suffering and injustices that were done to the Indigenous Communities. The residential schools ran for over 150 years with the last one closing in 1996 and had a profoundly damaging and lasting impact on Indigenous culture and community.
