Volunteers are very important at the Museum and help us in many ways. Below are some examples of opportunities where you can support the Heritage Society. Please call or email to see what we have available.

Volunteer Positions

Education Program Leader – Deliver education programs to youth groups at the Museum.

Museum Support – Cleaning, organizing, general maintenance duties that may include some light construction, based on projects.

Special Event Volunteer – This position will vary depending on the event. Check our Upcoming Events for the future opportunities.

Office Assistant – Assist with various tasks around the Museum including greeting visitors, developing and distributing promotional materials, organizing our library and more.

Archives and Collection Assistant – Assist with processing donated artefacts and photos.

Board or Committee Member – The Port Moody Heritage Society is a volunteer society that is responsible for overseeing the operation of the Museum and its events. Volunteering on the Board of Directors puts you at the heart of the work of the Museum.

Many positions require special training and/or training will be provided. For these positions, we ask that you commit to coming regularly for at least 6 months.
