Canada Day Event

Volunteers are very important at the Museum and help us in many ways. Below are some of the regular positions we have. Please call or email to see if these are currently available.

Volunteer Positions

Education Program Leader – Deliver education programs to youth groups at the Museum. Click here for the Volunteer Docent Job Description.

Special Event Volunteer – This position will vary depending on the event. Check our Upcoming Events for the future opportunities.

Office Assistant – Assist with various tasks around the Museum including greeting visitors, developing and distributing promotional materials, organizing our library and more.

Archives and Collection Assistant – Assist with processing donated artifacts and photos.

Garden Assistant – Help maintain our heritage garden.

Board or Committee Member – The Port Moody Heritage Society is a volunteer society that is responsible for overseeing the operation of the Museum and its events. Volunteering on the Board of Directors puts you at the heart of the work of the Museum.

Many positions required special training. For these positions, we ask that you commit to coming regularly for at least 6 months.
