Happy New Year Everyone!

Happy New Year Everyone!

2019 was a great year for the Port Moody Heritage Society!

Created in 1969, the Society honoured its 50th anniversary with special exhibitions throughout the year, and hosting a special event for its members and volunteers. Kicking off the Society’s celebratory year we also partnered with the City of Port Moody to create the 2019 calendar, and the Port Moody Arts Centre to create the Upcycling Port Moody’s Heritage Exhibition.  The Board, Museum staff and all the volunteers that dedicated their time to help the Society this year made 2019 a success. Thank you to everyone who supported us throughout 2019!

The Museum staff have been busy creating new programs for this year and have the year planned with new exhibits and events. Look at the below list to see what events the Museum will be involved with this year, hope to see you all there!

Drop by Port Moody City Hall  to see our  Special 50th Anniversary Exhibition before its gone. To celebrate the 50th Anniversary a special exhibit was created that showcased artifacts within our collection. This exhibit changed monthly. The City of Port Moody allowed us to set up a Digital Display showcasing the artifacts to allow more for people to enjoy the celebration! The last part of this Exhibition can still be seen at City Hall but not for much longer, it will be taken down at the end of the month.  Thanks to the city of Port Moody for allowing our Exhibition to be on Digital display over the past year.
