Running: The Alex Decoteau Story

Make sure to join us on November 10th at 7pm for our candlelight vigil.

After the Great War Talk on the Battle of Passchendaele presented by John Goheen, Playwright Charlotte Cameron will read from her book containing her one-act play ‘Running: The Alex Decoteau Story’. The play tells the story of Alex Decoteau who was the first Indigenous police officer in Canada, a runner in the 1912 Stockholm Olympics, and finally a message runner in the Great War where he died at the Battle of Passchendaele.
