Don’t miss this year’s Easter Extravaganza Event happening on Sunday March 27th from 10am-2pm  at the Port Moody Station Museum!

The main event is the Easter egg hunt – we hide marbles and kids exchange them for chocolate eggs. But that’s not all!

The Easter Bunny will be stopping by so that the kids can have their pictures taken with him! We’ll even have a special area for toddlers where they will have their own egg hunt, a bubble zone and a play area.

We resupply our hidden eggs throughout the day, so no need to rush!

Date Sunday March 27th from 10am-2pm

Cost: $5 per person, Kids 2 and under are free

The museum’s Easter Extravaganza is a local favourite, and for good reason. The event runs on Sunday, March 27th  from 10:00am-2:00pm. Meet the Easter Bunny, make your own Easter basket, and bunny ears!  Then hunt for marbles to exchange for chocolate eggs. And don’t worry – the marbles are replenished all day, so your Easter egg hunters will have just as much chance of finding one at 1:30pm as at 10:00am. There’s also entertainment, fun and games. The hunt is on rain or shine, and admission is $5 per person, cash only with proceeds going to the Port Moody Heritage Society. For more information, email or call 604.939.1648.

Throughout the year we have many events, some big and some small! We are always looking for volunteers to help!

Beautiful day for Working on the Rail Road Family Day Event at the Museum!

The Port Moody Station Museum had a wonderful Working on the Rail Road Family Day Event!

The weather was beautiful and there was a lot to do!Families hammered their names into our train tracks, did a spike hammering activity, and then went onto our 1921 Train to enjoy music from Nigel Tucker, drink some hot chocolate and coffee and create a conductors hat! They then had fun playing with the bubble at our bubble station! Once done with all the outdoor activities families went inside the museum to see displays, take part in a scavenger hunt, dress up in fun outfits , colour and have fun in our Train play area! What a great event!

A Big thank you goes out to volunteers  Shirley and Don Hein, Arlene Wiebe , Cindy, Andrew Wong, Tatiana and Heather Chow, Oliver and Alan, this event could never of happened with out your help! Melissa and Brianne were grateful for all the help that day! Pictures of the event have been posted onto Facebook page!
