Sunday, September 20th- TRENCH TALKS
Location: The Port Moody Station Museum
Time : 2pm
Join the Port Moody Station Museum for the first ever Trench Talks! On Sunday, September 20th, 2015 at 2 pm we will be hosting a free, World War I, information event. The Port Moody Heritage Society is proud to partner up this year with Expect Exceptional Theatre Company for our 3rd Annual Radio Show. Join us as we take you back to the days before television when families would gather around the radio to be entertained by stories, ads and music.
Sunday, October 4th- Ioco Ghost Town Day Returns!
Free Family Day Event!
Location: Ioco Road and 1st Avenue, Port Moody
Time: 12-4pm
Activities include tours of the Ioco Townsite in a trolley , bouncy Castle, artisan displays, pony rides, kids’ crafts and much more. This year, performers The Syndicate, magician Dennis Hewson, Joyce and her dancing border collies Twinkle toes and Skye, musician Nigel Tucker. Also joining us to share the history of Ioco as heritage actors are local youth from Theatrix.
Come join us for this free family event at the former Ioco Lawn Bowling Green (Ioco Rd. & 1st Ave. in Port Moody). Enjoy good old fashioned fun while learning about the heritage of the former Ioco town.
Ioco Ghost Town Days is organized by the Port Moody Heritage Society who owns and operates the Port Moody Station Museum.
