Communities for Veterans – Ride Across Canada Foundation Event

The Communities for Veterans: The Ride Across Canada Foundation Event is starting!

Veterans will be riding horses across Canada,  raising awareness about the challenges they face, to encourage discussions about these challenges and to raise funds for programs for veterans and their families. Paul and Terry Nichols are heading across Canada on horseback to include over 700 veterans to ride along from Victoria, BC to the Atlantic coast of Newfoundland.

The Port Moody Heritage Society and The Port Moody Station Museum are honoured to have the 4 riders from The Communities for Veteran’s – Ride Across Canada Event stopping in Port Moody on Wednesday April 15th. The Royal Canadian Legion will be having a brief ceremony at 1pm for the riders and at 2:10pm they will be coming to the Port Moody Station to get a  tour of the Museum and the McKnight Trench.  Please join us at the museum,  to discuss the challenges  these veterans face and to help raise funds for the veterans!
