Don’t Miss The McKnight Trench Dedication Ceremony at the Museum on Saturday April 4th 2:00 pm.

The McKnight Trench Dedication Ceremony will be happening on Saturday April 4th 2:00 pm at the Port Moody Station Museum.

The Port Moody Heritage Society would like to invite everyone to join us for the McKnight Trench Dedication Ceremony and Reveal. We want to thank everyone that worked on the trench, especially the Project principal members Guy Black, Jim Millar, Alan Fox, Markus Fahrner, John Goheen, Cary Price, and Sonny Son  who designed and built the trench between September 2014 and April 2015. Thank you to everyone that donated money or material or just came by to see how we were progressing. This display is intended to promote an important part of Canadian history and pay tribute to our former engineer and resident, Augustus McKnight. The message we hope the trench will clearly convey is peace and remembrance.

Congratulations on a great project and a fantastic source of education for our children. Well done! My son attended yesterday as a cadet and am thankful he was there. I think this is an amazing project to recognize the Canadian contribution to the first world war.
