The McKnight Trench is Complete! A Beautiful Dedication Ceremony Marked the Beginning Occupy the Trench, A Living History Experience

Happy Canada Day! Thank you to the volunteers, participants and guests who visited the amazing Maple Leaf Show July 1st. The McKnight Trench is available for viewing during Museum hours. Summer hours are 10am to 5pm 7 days a week.

The Port Moody Station Museum won ‘2014 Port Moody Community Parade Champion’!!

The parade was a lot of fun this year!

This past Saturday (June 21st) we partnered with the Kwikwetlem First Nations to celebrate National Aboriginal Day

Fun was had by all as guests enjoyed the salmon BBQ, displays, games and crafts.

The Maple Leaf Military Show is almost here!!

Join us on June 29th for the dedication of the authentic World War I trench in honour of Lieutenant Augustus Wilberforce McKnight.

 

The trench will be occupied by volunteers wanting to experience what life was like in the trenches of the war.

Then come back to the museum on Canada Day, July 1st, for the Maple Leaf Military Show. There will be a number of military artifacts including a Russian T-55 tank as well as a replica of the Vimy Ridge Memorial

Walk for Veterans and Peace

This grassroots walk begins in Port Coquitlam and has the participants visiting each of the Tri City Cenotaphs, paying tribute to our lost but not forgotten. The walk ends at the Port Moody Station Museum at 5:00 pm on June 21st.

A ground breaking ceremony of the McKnight Trench will follow the Walk.
