If you are looking for something special to do this holiday season, we invite you to visit the Port Moody Station Museum, adjacent to Rocky Point Park. Our winter hours are from Wednesday to Sunday noon to 4:00pm. (Closed December 17,18)
Imagine your family journeying back in time…arriving in Port Moody on the 1921 Venosta rail car. A greeting from the Station Master and an invitation to the Waiting room awaits you on this holiday journey. You will enjoy a leisurely self guided tour as you learn about Mary Jones, one of our early residents who tells you in her own words what life was like in the ‘early’ days, through our ‘Listening Station’. See what an early time clock looked like from one of our cedar mills or learn about the many details that helped shape our community.
Our ‘Tracks in Time: Port Moody’s First 100 Years’ book will make an excellent addition to your library or browse through the gift shop for other gift giving ideas!
See you soon and Happy Holidays from all of us here at the Port Moody Heritage Society and the Port Moody Station Museum!
