Recognition Event

This year was an exceptional year as we celebrated the City of Port Moody’s Centennial! On November 24th, we held a Recognition Event to show our appreciation to all the volunteers, members and sponsors that have helped us through out the year. The afternoon started off with Port Moody’s Heritage Society’s President Robert Simons giving a  warm welcome to the crowd  and then inviting up Mayor Mike Clay to say a few words. Executive Director, Jim Millar gave a presentation and shared  highlights of all the Centennial events that the Society participated in.

The event was sponsored by Andrew Peller Limited ( Andres Wines). They provided refreshments,  a historical look into their involvement in the community and provided an exhibit that can be viewed at the museum until February 2014.
