We will be featuring our futuristic Lego exhibit of Port Moody, “Yesterday and Tomorrow” created by the Vancouver Lego Club. Then we will get our guests to travel back in time as they view Jim Buckley’s zoomed-in model of Port Moody’s main street in the 1930s. We also have the Morse Telegraph Society joining us to demonstrate their telegraphy skills!

Included will be:  Heritage Games, Arts and Crafts, Heritage Vegetable Exhibit and a Now and Then Exhibit!  On June 29th at 10am we will also be selling tickets for the CPR Train Excursion! Don’t miss your chance to buy a ticket!

Port Moody Centennial Parade

The Port Moody Heritage Society had a great time participating in the Centennial Parade this past Saturday! The Port Moody Station Museum Staff and volunteers spent the day on Friday preparing  our float and want to say a big thank you to everyone who came out to help! We had Rebel Haunt Theatre join us in the parade and they came  all dressed up and smiling.  Everyone on the float was dressed in heritage costumes which delighted the crowds – the phrase “I love your hat!” was often heard. The highlight for the kids were the bubble machines that we had on our float. A great time was had by all!
