Ioco Ghost Town Days 2011 a Success!

Kindred Spirits sing along

Thanks to everyone who participated in making Ioco Ghost Town Days a big success this year.  It was a fitting celebration for the 10th anniversary of the event.  Feedback so far has been very positive.  If you were there, please add some of your thoughts.

Here are some of the records for our 10th year:

  • Highest attendance – approximately 2000 people.
  • Biggest budget. Thank you Heritage Canada, Port Moody Heritage Commission, and Pacific Coast Terminals!
  • Most performing groups – 11 different groups.
  • Most hot dogs grilled.  Thank you Kinsmen!
  • Most tents put up – 30 total. Thank you Impact Canopies and Danco!
  • Most video footage of Mary Anne Cooper talking about Ioco town’s history. See the Coquitlam Now and the Tri City News.
You can see more photos from the event on the Port Moody Station Museum Facebook page.

  1. Dana, Jimmy, and Emmett Lai says:

We had a wonderful time. The event was just the right size, the bluegrass band was great, and, of course, the pony ride was a big hit for our two-year-old! It really is a great event. Thank you for all of your hard work.

  2. I think you guys did a great job. I had friends drive by and say it was the biggest one they have seen so far. If all goes well for next year and we have the floating gallery and the burrard inlet paddle gallery expanded, we could take people on interpretive art tours.
