Come join us for this free family event at the former Ioco Lawn Bowling Green (Ioco Rd. & 1st Ave. in Port Moody). Visitors will enjoy good old fashioned fun while learning about the heritage of the former Ioco town.  This year, Heritage Society has organized a two day event on October 1st and 2nd.

On October 1st current and former Ioco residents will reunite between 1 and 4pm to reminisce and enjoy our heritage photo display, some jazz music and refreshments.

On October 2nd, the big show will return with ten different musical, dramatic and variety acts, tours of the town in antique cars, artisan displays, pony rides, kids’ crafts and much more.

The Port Moody Station Museum is once again offering programs to families who participate in home learning. These programs give individual families the opportunity to attend educational programs normally reserved for groups.

This year we are offering two of our most popular programs in fall.

Look for additional programs in Spring 2012 including a featured program “Chinese Legacies & the CPR”. This program will be offered in conjunction with the travelling exhibit “Chinese Legacies” which will be on at the Museum May to August 2012.  The program Chinese Legacies & the CPR  is recommended for ages 10-14 and will be offered Thurs., May 24th – 10-11:30am.

We also offer other educational programs which may be available if enough families are interested. Please call for more information.

Programs for home learning families are delivered with parent participation in mind. Young children are welcome to come but may not be suitable to participate in all aspects of the program. The cost for 90 min. programs is $6 for 1 adult & 1 child, $2 for each additional child. We hope you can join us!
