Museum Blogs

A few months ago, the Canadian Heritage Information Network (or CHIN) included an article on museums and blogging just as we launched this blog. This month’s newsletter again highlighted blogging.

They recommended Hanging Together, the blog of a non-profit organization that deals with libraries, archives and museums.

We’ve found two other interesting cultural organization blogs:

The UBC Botanical Garden Weblog: With categories in botanical art, climate change, herbaria, invasive plants, conservation, diseases and pests, food and medicine, and “Novel Uses of Plants,” this is one of the best examples out there for information on the plant world.

The Moxie Blog: “The best damn blog about starting an art-house theater in Springfield, Missouri in the whole entire world!”

Then there is also Signs Never Sleep, the blog of a sign shop from New Hampshire.

As for art blogs, Zeke’s Gallery in Montreal, collected over 400 of them, including us.

Hopefully with CHIN’s promotion, we’ll see more strictly museum blogs soon.
